Gilberts Cottage - Booking Form & Terms & Conditions

1. i) Bookings. Telephone or email bookings remain firm for five working days pending receipt of booking form and deposit/payment. We reserve the right to re-let the cottage if the deposit is not received within 7 days of your phone/email booking.
   ii) Deposit. For weekly lets, a non-refundable deposit of £50 per week is payable at the time of booking. For short breaks, full payment is required with your booking form. Cheques should be made payable to “Mr & Mrs B.A. Moore”, please.
   iii) Balance. The balance of the total payment due must be received by us at least six weeks prior to the commencement of the let. Christmas & New Year bookings must be fully paid by 1st October. We reserve the right to re-let the cottage if full payment is not received by the appropriate date.
2. Cancellation
1. by you. If you have to cancel, please inform us immediately and we will endeavour to re-let the cottage and return your payment. If this is not possible, all monies which have been paid will be forfeited. CANCELLATION PROTECTION INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED.
2. by us. Following your booking, in the unlikely event of Gilberts Cottage becoming unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, a complete refund will be paid including the deposit.
3. Party Size. The number of persons and pets occupying the cottage must not exceed that stated at the time of Booking, unless previously agreed with us.
4. Pets. Well-behaved, fully house-trained pets are welcome, but must NOT be allowed on the furniture or anywhere upstairs. Pets MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED inside the cottage. Please do not let them foul the area around the cottage.
5. Access. The Owners and Owners’ representatives reserve the right to obtain access to the cottage at all reasonable times, with prior notice wherever possible.
6. Risk. The Owners cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to the Hirer’s property, or for personal injury, or damage to vehicles which are parked at the Hirer’s risk.
   
7. Lake. Water is potentially Dangerous. The lake is available ONLY to guests wishing to fly fish for trout and for no other purpose whatsoever. By accepting the booking conditions you affirm that you will NOT allow any member of your party to use or enter the lake other than for fly fishing for trout from the lakeside.
8. Cleanliness. The Owners endeavour to maintain high standards of comfort and cleanliness at all times. The Hirer therefore undertakes to keep all furniture, fittings and effects in the same good condition as they were found. Smoking is NOT allowed in the cottage.
9. Damage. All breakages or damage must be notified immediately. The Owners reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage howsoever caused.
10. Acceptance. Completing a Booking Form and paying the Deposit signifies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
